Uptown/Downtown Snow Goose Festival Wildlife Art Exhibit January 21 to February 19, 2011 Avenue 9 Gallery & Art Guild and The Artistry
Artists whose subjects include wildlife and habitat along the Pacific Flyway, North and South, are invited to submit artwork for a juried exhibition to take place during Chico’s 2011 Snow Goose Festival. All media will be considered.
A jury of seven (TBA) will make the final entry choices and will issue special commendations during the exhibit. The jurors will include a mix of art and nature experts.
The wildlife exhibit runs from Friday, January 21 through Saturday, February 19, 2011. It will be held at two galleries; Avenue 9 Gallery & Art Guild (Uptown) and The Artistry (Downtown). This will be the 5th year of the Uptown-Downtown Snow Goose Festival Wildlife Art Exhibit and the second year that it encompasses the entire Pacific Flyway. A free trolley ride connects the visitors and transports them to the two galleries on the night of the formal welcome reception.
The formal welcome reception during the Snow Goose Festival weekend will be held Friday, January 28 for registered guests; the Sneak Preview for the general public is scheduled for Friday, January 21.
