A Fundraiser for the Chico Community Labyrinth Project.

@ The Artistry & All Fired Up!

On the night of Saturday, November 13^th from 5-8, The Artistry & All Fired Up! will host a community art event, The 2010 Patchwork Puzzle Show. A variety of local artists and community members, including children, all working in a variety of mediums, will come together to make 2 large Patchwork Puzzle pieces on The Artistry’s 20+ foot tall walls.

Each person participating will create an individual work of art on a board of their choosing (20”x20”, 20”x10”, or 10”x10”). These individual boards will be put together to create one large work of art. This large-scale work of art will be available to view and bid on from Tuesday, November 9^th through Saturday, November 13^th. The individual works of art will be auctioned off in a silent auction format starting at just $10. The night of Saturday November 13^th, from 5-8 pm will be everyone’s last chance to bid on his/her favorite piece in hopes to purchase it and take it home. During this event, there will be live music, yummy seasonal foods, and local beverages. ALL PROCEEDS from the event will go to the Chico Community Labyrinth Project.

Children ages 5-14 are encouraged to participate in the puzzle show by creating a work of art on a 5x5 art board which is being offered free of charge.  The children’s art pieces will be put together to create a patchwork puzzle and will be a part of the silent auction.

The Chico Community Labyrinth Project (CCLP) is non-profit organization that is raising funds to build a permanent, centrally-located labyrinth for the Chico community at Children's Park, in downtown Chico. The Project has received approval from the City of Chico to develop this unique community facility and has received support from numerous local organizations, community members and businesses. The funding source for the project is through community donations, fundraisers, and grants.  

The labyrinth will be a valuable addition to our community by offering an activity that people of all ages can enjoy, from children to seniors. Our parks are a treasured asset in our community and it is important to re-vitalize the area in and around Children's Park by offering additional wholesome activities.   The labyrinth has been shown to provide health benefits as well as mental and emotional benefits.  It also serves as:

• a focal point for celebrating community events and for healing
• a place for individuals to commemorate important occasions in their lives
• a recreational activity for school children and park visitors
• a way to support both inner peace and world peace
• an activity for the physically challenged and wheel-chair bound

On Saturday, November 13^th from 5-8, let’s join together to support a project that will enrich our community by enriching your own space with a local work of art. There will be live music, good food and wine, as well as some fun family projects.

Pick up for art boards begins Oct 1^st at The Artistry & All Fired Up! Their hours are Tues-Thurs 10-8, Fri-Sun 12-5.
